Fahim rules out change in Benazir arrival plan

PPP Acing Chief Makhdoom Amin Fahim has ruled out any change in return plan of Benazir Bhutto and said that government propaganda is aimed at affecting her warm welcome. Talking to a private TV channel, Fahim said Benazir Bhutto will land at Karachi airport as per already announced schedule on October 18.
He said he will also join BB and will accompany her from Dubai, where she will have a stopover on her way back from London. She will depart for Pakistan on October 17 and will reach at Karachi airport on October 18. The TV channels reported on Monday that the government has stepped up efforts to urge Benazir Bbutto to delay her return till the Supreme Court gives final verdict in the case of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
Fahim said the government has not contacted the PPP but he has seen reports. He added that the government is trying to confuse the people about the welcoming ceremony. On the other hand Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani told a private TV channel that the government has only suggested delay in Benazir's return. "But she is free to decide if she returns or not".
Asked if she would be arrested on her return, the minister did not come up with a direct reply but said that everything will be done in accordance with the law.
