President Pervez Musharraf will dough off his uniform after November 15 and hold the general elections in a free, fair and impartial manner in which all political parties will participate, Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool told reporters here on Tuesday at the Governor's House.
He said that the government would honour the Supreme Court's verdicts and had also contacted the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership but their demand of removing Pervez Musharraf for dialogue was unacceptable. He said the country's economy was making progress tremendously in all related fields.
He urged that the President Musharraf's presence was inevitable for consistency of the policies, which have been launched for the betterment of the nation. He also said stock exchanges were making a tremendous progress is a result of the government's solid economic policies.
