Security remained tight on eve of Eid

The metropolitan tightened security on the eve of Eid with police and law enforcers cancelling their holidays. The Police department, including the special branch, the bomb disposal squad, intelligence agencies, the fire brigade, Rescue 1122, civil defence and hospitals, remained on alert.
The tight security followed orders by the Punjab Police inspector general with the elite force and Muhafiz police patrolling foreign and government installations, the airport, railway stations, bus stops and public places.
