Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Monday said the demand of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) for bullet-proof security was not justified as such security was not available to him (Dr Arbab).
According to a statement issued here, Sindh CM Dr Arbab received greetings on Umrah and Eid-ul-Fitr from Sindh Ministers, leaders of Pakistan Muslim Leagues (PML), members of Provincial Assembly and other notables at Chief Minister House here.
Later, talking to media, he said the request of PPP for provision of bullet-proof security was not justified, as this level of security was not enjoyed by me, he added. To another question, Dr Arbab said that we would face the political rivals in the political grounds. Dr Arbab further said that people would be convinced to vote in favour of PML in the next general election, on basis of the performance of the party.
To a question, he said that decision to send Nawaz Sharif back was of federal government, as Sharifs had committed not to return before expiry of 10 years period. No such accord had been inked with the PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto, he said.
