BRIndex30 registers 139.36 points gain

On Wednesday, the BR Index30 opened at 15,926.92 and closed at 16,043.90, registering a net positive change of 139.36 points and percentage change of 0.88. It recorded intra-day high of 16,121.63 and low of 15,654.82. The volume amounted to 327,665,700 shares, which was 74.72 percent of market total and 100.52 percent of KSE-100 index.
The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 438,542,820 and 325,958,620 shares, respectively. BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 6,341.65 with a net negative change of -20.09 points and percentage change of -0.32. The turnover for this sector was 96,226,800 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 2,451.17 with a net positive change of 61.45 points and percentage change of 2.57. The volume was 80,488,900 shares.
BR Cement Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,949.59 with a net positive change of 36.09 points and percentage change of 1.89. Its volume was 66,016,600 shares. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,926.86 with a net downward change of -3.11 points and percentage change of -0.16. The volume of this sector was 58,434,900 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,521.13 with an upward change of 5.97 points and percentage change of 0.39. The turnover for this sector was 9,148,800 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
