Arrest warrants against Hina Rabbani Khar issued

Special Judge Anti-Corruption Camp office Muzaffargarh, Syed Najmul-Hassan Bukhari has issued arrest warrants of Minister for State for Planning, Development and Economic affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, for not joining the proceedings of a case against the staff of forest department, Muzaffargarh.
The court adjourned the proceedings till 07 Dec12, 2007 and ordered her to appear before the court. Hina Rabbani Khar, MNA from Kotadu and Minister of state had got registered a case the corrupt officials of forest department for cutting down the trees and illegally selling the timber in the market.
Anti-Corruption Establishment had registered a case No 46/03 under sections 409, 5-2/47 of Anti-Corruption Act in 2003. The case was instituted against two block officers Ghulam Murtaza and Allah Bakhsh and three forest guards Muhammad Sadiq, Wazir Ahmed and Abdul Majid.
Challan of this case was referred to the court for trial. The court summoned Hina Rabbani Khar to join the proceedings to record her statement but she did not comply with the court's orders. Consequently, the court on Thursday issued arrest warrants against her.
