Four SCBA office-bearers disqualified

The Pakistan Bar Council (PCB) Executive Committee taking action on a petition by senior lawyer Tariq Aziz disqualified four Supreme Court Bar Association office-bearers for taking bribe from the government in the shape of jobs.
The disqualified bar's leaders included vice president (Sindh Chapter) Khawaja Naveed Ahmad, Additional Secretary Sardar Muhammad Ghazi, members executive committee Rizwan Siddiqi and Qamar Zaman Qureshi. Advocate Tariq Aziz had filed the petition seeking action against the bar members.
He said the lawyers selected their representatives to safeguard the whole community and to protect the Constitution and association's members had betrayed the whole community by getting jobs the government was providing to create rift in the community.
