Sindh chief minister's statements

20 Oct, 2007

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has been using pretty hostile language for some days. His latest order to remove PPP welcome banners for Chairperson Benazir Bhutto should be removed has been turned down by the Nazim of Karachi in a very blunt but positive manner.
It would be quite appropriate to remind the Sindh Chief Minister that he should better concentrate of maintenance of law and order which is the primary duty of the Provincial Government and not to create any 'ugly situation by issuing hostile statements and order The Chief Minister of Sindh will be doing a great service to President General Pervez Musharraf as a matter of fact if he gives Benazir Bhutto a free passage in the prevailing circumstances and not to provide any excuse to anyone for creating a law and order situation which may be difficult to control. He should let the courts of law move according to the law in the cases pending against Benazir Bhutto.
And, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto should also stop making statements regarding threats to her life and demanding security from the Federal and Provincial Governments. Political leaders should be ready to face any easy or difficult situation.
