Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Monday appreciated the performance of the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, saying it has achieved many important milestones in a short span of three years.
Talking to Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghauri after his presentation of a report on his ministry's three-year performance, the Prime Minister said record development took place during the tenure of the present government in all areas of the country. Based on this performance, the Prime Minister said the ruling coalition is confident of winning even greater majority in the upcoming general elections.
Babar Ghauri told the Prime Minister that since the establishment of the Ports and Shipping Ministry in 2004, announcement of New National Shipping Policy and inauguration of Deep-Sea Port at Gwadar were the major steps taken to promote shipping and trade facilities in the country. The Prime Minister hoped that the Ministry would continue to perform its functions with the same zeal in future as well.
