LPG producers making high profit

The most LPG producers are making profit up to Rs 35 on per kilogram of gas they produce. Chairman of LPG Distributors Association Pakistan, Irfan Khokhar while addressing the media said the cost of local production of LPG is Rs 5 per kilogram.
While however, the production companies are selling the gas at international rate and bagging high profit, private TV channel reported. Irfan Khokhar said 98 percent of the national requirements are met with the locally produced LPG; but, by linking the local LPG prices to international rates, huge gains are being made by some large multi-national companies. This has caused 17 marketing companies to come close to halting of operations in future, Khokhar said.
