A two-member delegation of the University of Balochistan headed by their Vice Chancellor Agha Ahmed Gul on Tuesday visited the GC University in Lahore and met its Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Aftab, in the latter's committee room. The matters pertaining to the promotion of educational activities between the two varsities came under discussion.
Agha Ahmed Gul briefed Professor Dr Khalid Aftab about the historic perspective and academic structure of the University of Balochistan and aspired to have academic and research collaboration with the GCU in the fields of Computer and Management Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology and environment related subjects. He also asked the vice chancellor GCU to have mutual faculty exchange short term based programmes with the aim to elevate the persisting academic standards of the Balochistan University.
Professor Khalid Aftab talked about the academic and historic perspective of the varsity and suggested to have more interactions with the Balochistan university academicians in knowing each other and move forward for academic collaboration purposes.
Agha Gul welcomed a suggestion by the GCU vice chancellor, saying he hoped for the future correspondence between the two universities. GCU Internal and External Links Director Fouzia Shaheen proposed to help MPhil and PhD scholars from both the universities through mutual collaboration endorsed by both vice chancellors.
