26,000 educators to be recruited in Punjab

As many as 26,000 educators will be recruited in the province from next month under the Education Reforms Programme, and preference will be given to those with high merit and Masters degrees.
Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister Hassan Akhtar Mokal talking to local Nazims and newsmen at Kanganpur on Tuesday, said that the government is taking various effective measures through different programmes to create more job opportunities for the people and eventually eradicate poverty from society.
He said handsome stipends were being offered to educated youth interning with government departments, while Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) institutes were providing enabling skills to 25,000 young men and women every year to ensure good jobs for them.
