PPP establishes special humanitarian fund

The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has established a special humanitarian fund to assist the victims of 18th October bomb blast on the PPP rally at Karachi. Spokesman of PPP chairperson Farhatullah Babar said here on Tuesday that former defence minister Aftab Shaban Mirani opened an account in the UBL for this cause.
The PPP has also appealed for donations that should be deposited in the Clifton Branch, Karachi. Later Farhatullah Babar quoting Aftab Shaban Mirani said the fund would be spent exclusively on the rehabilitation and welfare of the victims of the October 18 tragedy.
Babar also referred to UNSC statement condemning attack on the PPP rally. He said chairperson Benazir Bhutto had welcomed the statement, which had reiterated the call for international assistance in exposing the perpetrators of the crime.
