Six sisters pay price of owner-tenant clash

Six sisters were brutally burnt by the owner of the home in Azizabad, Bahawalpur on Monday when their father refused to vacate home. According to details the owner of the rented home Dr Muhammad Aslam had been demanding tenant Ghulam Abbas since long to vacate home otherwise he would raise rent. But Ghulam Abbas neither ready to vacate home nor to increase the rent.
The negligence of Ghulam Abbas (tenant) towards repeated warnings given by the owner finally led to the horrible consequences and he, with the help of his sons, opened the natural gas pipeline in the rented home and then set it on fire resultantly the home caught fire at that time when the whole family busy in a betrothal ceremony.
Police said that Aasia age 20, Aisha 18, Maria 15, Maryam 14, Iqra 8 and Kashmala 1 and their father, Ghulam Abbas were sustained burnt injuries, while Iqra and Kashmala are in critical condition in Bahawal victoria hospital.
Meanwhile, A school teacher, Saeed Ali Shah in Bahawalpur burnt alive due to leakage of gas. It was learnt that Saeed Ali got up late night to make the meal hot while his whole family was sleeping and he was unaware about the leakage of gas so just as he lit a match he caught fire and severely burnt. He was rush to the hospital but could not sustain injuries and died on the way to hospital.
