Four people of a family were injured in a gas explosion in Dhok Charag Din area in the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station here on Monday. As per details, a gas-stove exploded when Shahnaz, wife of M. Asif, tried to lit the stove for preparing breakfast.
The blats injured Asif, his wife Shahnaz, daughter Tatheer Fatima and sister-in-law Sabeeha. The roof of the house caved in due to high intensity of the blast. The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital. The condition of Shahnaz is stated to be critical as doctor says 80 per cent of her body was burnt. Other injured were released after necessary medical aid. It is said that the gas leakage caused the blast.
