Unilever Pakistan won the excellence award in the best workplace practices category, at the Asian CSR Awards held in Vietnam recently. The company was given this honour for its personal vitality health passport initiative, which is designed to ensure the health and well being of all its employees.
Unilever was also awarded for The Pan-Mien Lifebuoy hand wash programme was adjudged winner in the concern for health category and Unilever South Asia bagged an award for its woman empowerment project (Project Shakti) received the excellence award in the Poverty Alleviation category.
The award celebrates Unilever's stated mission of adding Vitality to Life. The Asian CSR Awards is organised by the RVR Centre for Corporate Responsibility at the Asian institute of Management (AIM) and sponsored by the Chemoil Group. This year the awards were held in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
The award recognise and honour Asia-based companies for outstanding, innovative and world class products, services, projects and programmes in the CSR categories of environmental excellence, support and improvement of education, poverty alleviation, best workplace practices, concern for health.-PR
