On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened in the red zone, at 15,839.09, and closed at 15,395.15 with a net negative change of -464.93 points and percentage change of -2.93. It experienced intra-day high of 15,904.15 and low of 15,331.07. The volume amounted to 244,575,700 shares, which was 67.76 percent of market total and 92.02 percent of KSE-100 index.
The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 360,932,700 and 265,768,400 shares, respectively. BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector with a turnover of 86,231,400 shares. It closed at 6,120.56 with a net negative change of -119.3 points and percentage change of -1.91.
BR Cement Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 61,026,800 shares. It closed at 1,838.86 with a net negative change of -64.48 points and percentage change of -3.39. BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with turnover of 44,091,400 shares. It closed at 2,367.31 with a net negative change of -57.28 points and percentage change of -2.36.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,891.03 with a net downward change of -33.8 points and percentage change of -1.76. The volume of this sector was 36,041,000 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,488.13 with an upward change of 5.56 points and percentage change of 0.38. The turnover for this sector was 5,328,300 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
