TV production course begins today

A eight-week television production course for students from South Asia will begin at the South Asian Media School in Lahore on Friday. The course is being conducted in collaboration with South Asia Free Media Association (Safma).
Foreign Minister Mahmud Ali Kasuri will be the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony along with Willem Andreae, Ambassador of the Royal Netherlands embassy. This occasion will also celebrate the signing of the agreement, confirming grant of more than Rs 40 million of Netherlands government and the Norwegian embassy to Safma.
Norwegian embassy partnership with Safma, years back to 2004, when the Netherlands and Norway embarked on a first round of co-operation with Safma. At that time the focus of Safma's activities was on Pakistan-India relations. Safma is also working on a regional agenda, which is now incomplete.
