SECP warns public against real estate firm

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued a public warning about a company, which sells property in posh areas of the federal capital without obtaining requisite permission from the Commission.
According to an SECP announcement on Thursday, the R.P. Corporation (Pvt) Limited is seeking advances from general public through advertisements in electronic and print-media for sale of residential/commercial plots in Sector E-16, Islamabad.
In this regard, the general public and investors are informed that the R.P. Corporation (Pvt) Limited has not so far obtained any approval from the SECP for making advertisements in the press/electronic media. The general public and investors have been warned to be extremely cautious while investing in the so-called lucrative real estate scheme/project of this Corporation.
