PML, allies firm to continue policies in future: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday said the massive response from two public gatherings in Shoran and Kashmore have boosted the ruling coalition's conviction that they would be able to win the confidence of the majority in the upcoming general election.
PML and its allies election campaign would focus on continuity of the policies which have generated economic growth, increased employment opportunities and improved the standard of living of the people, he said while talking to Senior Minister for Defence, Rao Sikandar Iqbal, who called on him here. The Prime Minister said, "Pakistan believes in maintaining minimum credible deterrence which will ensure peace in the region."
He said that due to operational readiness, high standard of training and morale of Pakistani troops, the country's defence had become impregnable. Rao Sikandar Iqbal lauded prime minister on the three-year report on the performance of the government which has been published recently. He also briefed him about matters relating to his ministry.
