419 Pakistanis in British jails

As many as 419 Pakistani nationals are lodged in British jails on account of being illegal immigrants and on other charges, says a report in Daily Telegraph. There are a part of some 11,000 foreign prisoners drawn from 30 countries imprisoned on various charges ranging from violations of immigration rules, overstay to drugs trafficking, murders and other offences.
Jamaica heads the list with 1464 prisoners, followed by Nigeria with 1061 while 315 Indians are also incarcerated. However, the entire British prison population is now made up of people from 164 different countries.
