All the political parties have equal right to hold rallies and any terrorist act cannot deter their resolve for the revival of democracy in the country, Shahbaz Bhatti, Chairman, All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (Apma) said while addressing a press conference here on Friday.
He termed the bomb explosions in the welcome rally of Benazir Bhatto on October 18 as a shameful act. He said, "these explosions and the suicide attacks across the country clearly indicate that the government has failed to provide security to the masses."
That incident took away lives of three members of Apma, Batti said and added that as long as the country is deprived of the real essence of democracy, complete peace and tranquillity is impossible. He said that the Apma has decided to observe October 28 as Yom-e-Dua. All the religious minorities will participate and pray for national solidarity and the revival of democracy in the country, he added.
