Disciplinary action initiated against DSP

Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated on the directive of President's Secretariat against Mst. Nasim Chaudhry, DSP, Traffic, Hafizabad on charges of corruption. Official sources told APP here on Friday that on a serious complaint filed by Hasan Muhammad, President's Secretariat had directed the IGP for proper inquiry into the corruption allegations.
District Nazim, Hafizabad, Chaudhry Mubashar Abbas Bhatti had also requested the DIG Traffic Police for a thorough probe into the matter. Chief Traffic Police Gujranwala who was appointed as inquiry officer stated in his report that substantial documentary or oral evidence was not available.
However, ground realities and circumstantial evidence revealed truth into the allegations as most of the traffic field staff was found indulged in malpractice on highways, away from their places of duty and busy in stopping the heavy vehicular traffic for ulterior motives.
