Circulation of fake currency notes is on the rise in Kasur and the business community and general public have urged the State Bank of Pakistan as well as the government to take immediate measures to check the situation.
Business community and general public have complained that they were facing various difficulties because of close similarity of fake notes, mostly of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 to genuine ones.
"It is very difficult", said Zulfiqar Ali, a citizen who has also received a fake note. "I do not know how and when I received the note." Qurban Ali, chemist shop owner on the Railway Road in Kasur, said he returned many fake notes daily.
