The federal government should facilitate 'Naat Khwan' and 'Hamd Khwan,' who are spreading positive messages and praises of almighty Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) among nation. This was stated by Rauf Siddiqui, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Social Works while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman, Ruwat-e-Hilal (Moon Sighting Committee), Maulana Shah Turab-ul-Haq, Fatima Suraiya Bajiya, Mufti Naeem, Qari Waheed Zafar Kazmi, Siddique Ismail and Shams Jafrani, Secretary Culture, Tourism and Social Works were also present.
The Minister said that Naat Khwan and Hamd Khwan would be awarded by Dr Ghulam Arbab Rahim, Chief Minister, Sindh and Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad, Governor, Sindh, which would be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Social works, Sindh, on first day of November.
He said that no contest would be arranged, however, award would be given on their performance, which will be monitored by Jury members and added that cash prize would also be rewarded to them.
