National Assembly body withdraws Police Order 2006-07

National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior affairs held its final meeting, before possible dissolution of the Assembly on November 15. The Committee withdrew Police Order 2006 and 2007 and the National Data Base Registration Authority (Amendment) Bill 2007, earlier passed by the same Committee.
Sardar Talib Hussain Naqai presiding over the meeting thanked the Interior Division for their co-operation and help in conducting proceedings throughout the term of the National Assembly.
Earlier, the Interior Division, gave a briefing on the proposed Amendment in West Pakistan Regulation and Control of Loudspeakers and Sound Amplifiers Amendment Bill 2007, for application of provisions of this ordinance in the federal capital territory. The amendment seeks to increase the punishment from one to three months as well as increase in fine to Rs 1000 from Rs 200.
