Six people, including a child, were killed in two landmine explosions on Friday in Sui, police said. The mines were planted on a road in the gas-rich district of Sui in Balochistan province by tribal insurgents to target security forces operating in the region, local police officer Muhammad Khan said.
The child died and his parents were wounded when their bullock-pulled cart hit a mine. The other deaths occurred when a passenger van was blown up in the same way, Khan said.
