High security alert is being maintained in the Federal Capital in order to avert any untoward incident, the official sources said on Friday. Police and other law enforcement agencies are on high alert in Islamabad and this state of alertness will be maintained in days ahead.
Well-placed sources in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration told that following the directions of the Federal Government, security has been further up-graded and tightened in the Federal Capital. The sources said that all possible security measures were being taken to ward off any untoward incident.
They said that ICT administration and police had made security arrangements at all worship places, public places and Diplomatic Enclave. The security for VIPs has been also enhanced, they added. They said that all exit and entry points of the City have been reinforced and strict checking of vehicles was underway with extra deployment of police force.
Police patrolling has been enhanced and Assistant Commissioners, Magistrates and police offices are conducting checking of hotels, guest houses in the city.
