Action would be initiated under the relevant environmental laws against those industrial units and public and private organisations that have been causing pollution. This was stated by Sindh Minister for Environment Dr Sagheer Ahmed.
Chairing a departmental meeting here, he said the environmental pollution had taken a serious shape in Sindh especially in Karachi and causing various ailments. The minister was of the view that it was the appropriate time to taken the precautionary measures, adding that the government had also decided to take practical measures that would help check the environmental pollution.
