Musharraf accused of engineering crisis in Swat

Central leader of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Syed Munawar Hassan has accused General Pervez Musharraf of being involved in the turmoil, unrest and mass killing in Swat and tribal areas to provide justifications for a possible declaration of emergency in the country aimed at to force judiciary to take fresh oath under a new Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) and retrench 'independent-minded' judges of the superior and higher judiciary.
He was talking to Kanwar Siddiq, media advisor of JI South Punjab here on Saturday. Munawar Hassan said that the country was facing crisis, accusing the Musharraf-led government of pitting Army against its own people to appease US for prolonging its dictatorial rule. He maintained that the flawed policies of the government had put the geographical and ideological borders in dangers.
