Federal Minister for Information Muhammad Ali Durrani on Sunday said that the government would hold meeting with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority tomorrow and later with journalists' bodies to resolve the matter of closure of electronic channels.
Responding to a question about the timeframe for the opening of television channels at a press conference held by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Durrani said besides PTA and Pemra, mediamen would also be consulted to arrive at a solution.
Durrani said the government would also hold consultations in a day or two with the members of Council of Pakistan newspaper editors, Pakistan broadcasters association and the journalist workers on the code of conduct for media.
