Cleanliness drive launched in Mirpur

The City Administrator Abdul Qayyum Qamar has said that a comprehensive plan has been inked to make Mirpur city neat and clean and lush green in order to provide pollution free and healthier environment to the residents of the city.
In an interview to APP on Sunday he said that a weeklong cleanliness drive has been launched to make the city neat and clean. He said that under the spirit of the Vision 2007 of green Kashmir programme all the footpaths of the city would be brick lined and roads would be repaired and renovated by the end of next year.
The Administrator Mirpur Municipal Corporation said that all housing sectors, streets and houses would be marked properly making an easy access for the visitors and it will also reduce traffic problems in the city.
He said that the local administration was committed to turn the AJK Prime Minister's vision of 'Green and Skilled Kashmir' into a reality.
