People of Sindh like other parts of the country after listening the address of President General Parvez Musharraf on air on Saturday night, lauding the steps taken by President Pervez Musharraf for the betterment, prosperity and defence for the country.
They said that President Musharraf despite declaring emergency not disturb the system of democracy, as National Assembly, Senate and provincial assemblies would continue the work on same way. Giving their views to APP here on Sunday, different representatives of NGOs, civil society, political parties, notables, elected representatives and citizens, including Abdul Ghaffar Rajpute, central leader of PML Q, Khan Muhammad Phanwar, President Crime Control and Social Welfare Association Mirpurkhas, Javed Ahmad Junejo, President Farmer Organisation Council Sindh, Dur Muhmmad Khoso, Social Worker of Tharpakar district, Haji Khalid Siraj soomro, Taluka Nazim Umerkot, Kishwar laal Chandar local leader of Minority wining of Sanghar district, Malik Siraj Anjum social worker of Jhudo and others said that President General Parvez Musharaf made a history in the country because he had given freedom of Press, freedom of expression and freedom of judiciary which was not allowed before his tenure.
They said despite declaring emergency in country the President kept the status of all offices in tact including Prime Minister, chief ministers, governors etc.
They added that emergency is not good step, but President followed this way after increasing series of suicide attacks in the country.
