Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 202,172 tonnes cargo including 142,098 tonnes import, 60,074 tonnes export cargo and 3,282 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 126,488 tonnes dry cargo including 79,518 tonnes general cargo; 13,415 tonnes fertiliser; 3,895 tonnes coal; 9,356 tonnes wheat; 614 tonnes sulpher; 279 tonnes others; 11,197 tonnes cement; 8,214 tonnes clinker and 75,684 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely Tenth Ocean, YM Fortune, Sima Sabha, OEL Shreyas, Lastos, Zhen Hua-2, Emerald Isle, Leopard, Naftocement and Liquid Success sailed out to sea during the report period.
Fourteen vessels viz Ocean Frontier, Lucky Arrow, Cape Negro, Satha Bhum, Mousavi, Conti Harmony, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Asha Himani, Leopard, Chitral, Jens Munk, Da Buk Sol, Lalazar and Liquid Success are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Satha Bhum, Prince, Jens Munk and Conti Harmony expected to sail on Tuesday. Two vessels namely MOL Asante and Helene Rickmers due to arrive on Monday, while eight ships namely Panagia Lady, Northern Fortune, APL Sokhna, OEL Strength, Augusta, Marina Star-1, Emirates Meru and ITC Golden are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 41,268 tonnes diesel oil; 11,102 tonnes edible oil; 14,808 tonnes coke and 886 tonnes general cargo. MV Bunga Melati Satu sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of three ships namely Vema Ocean, SC Tianjin and Maersk IWOA carrying edible oil and containers are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five vessels viz MV Bunga Melati Satu, Star Dream, Belug Eternity, BW Columbia and MV Marlera are currently occupying berths to load/offload edible oil, general cargo, diesel oil and coke respectively during the report period. Two vessels viz Maersk IWOA and SC Tianjin due to take berths at Container Terminal and Marginal Wharf respectively on Monday.
