Five members of a family were hanged on Wednesday in District Jail Faisalabad in the presence of a local magistrate, jail superintendent and a medical officer. Jail authorities said that session court had awarded them death sentence for killing two persons and injuring three others following the dispute of a home in 1999.
Their appeals were rejected both by the high court and supreme court. Later President of Pakistan also turned down their appeal for clemency. Those who were hanged are Muhammad Saleem, Fazal Hussain, Muhammad Hussain, Abdul Ghafoor and Mamoora.
