Businessmen asked to raise contacts with their counterparts abroad

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan has advised the business community to increase their contacts with foreign importers and investors and convince them about the positive business environment in Pakistan.
He gave this advice during two different meeting with the delegations of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Site Association of Industry (Sai) and Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) on Wednesday.
He said that emergency had been imposed to establish writ of the government and create better environment for general public. The Governor noted that there was no affect of emergency on business, industries, import, export and trading activities.
According to sources, he called upon the business community to contact their counterparts in foreign countries by telephone, fax, mail and e-mail and convince them there was no law and order problem in Pakistan Regarding law and order in Karachi and Sindh, he said that law and order in the city was much better as compared to few years before.
The business community assured Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan that they would contact foreign investors and importers and brief them about Pakistan's true picture regarding business activities.
