Teacher-parents ties for visionary generations urged

City District Government Lahore Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has said that 7,000 new class rooms and teachers are required to provide standard education to all children of the city. He expressed these view while addressing an award giving ceremony conducted for the teachers on 'Teacher Respect Day' here on Saturday.
He stressed the need to develop teacher-parents co-ordination for producing better generation, adding without their co-operation and their keen interest in education standard of education and school can never be improved.
"Schools run under the supervision of union council nazims and they are granted Rs 64.1 million for their maintenance and conducting day-to-day meetings," he added.
According to him, only education could lead to national development in all aspects. He said that Lahore was the first district that gave priority to the education along with construction of roads, sewerage and provision of water.
