EOBI and NBP sign agreement

The Employees Old Age Benefit Institutions (EOBI) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) have entered into an agreement for payment of pension to lacs of registered old age, handicap employees, their widows, orphans or old parents.
Under the agreement the bank will also recover contribution fund of EOBI registered employees. In this regard NBP has setup customer facilitation centres in its branches in various cities to facilitate the pensioners.
Meanwhile EOBI is also establishing its Call Centre to provide immediate information to its registered employees and pensioners. The agreement was signed at a formal ceremony held here other day at EOBI head office.
On behalf of Employees Old Age Benefit Institutions (EOBI), the agreement was signed by its DG Finance Munaar Opel and Khalid Mahmood, Executive Vice President on behalf of the bank. Director General Brigadier Akhtar Zamin (Retd) and Dr Asif Brohi, Senior Executive Vice-President National Bank of Pakistan were also present on the occasion.
