LPG prices rise in interior Sindh

11 Nov, 2007

The liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is being sold on inflated rates in interior Sindh, creating a lot of problems for consumers. According to reports, transporters, traders and citizens have complained that they are forced to purchase LPG at the rate of Rs 60 per kg in Khairpur and Rs 55 per kg in Sukkur.
The price of the LPG is also raised by the black marketers in Shikarpur, Gambat, Ranipur, Larkana, Jacobabad and other districts.
It was told that after low pressure and load-shedding of Sui gas and increased demand during winter session the dealers have raised the rate of LPG gas unilaterally. Citizens have demanded of the government to take action against such dealers who are involved in hoarding and black marketing of LPG gas.
