Dry climate causing diseases

The prolong dry season all over Pakistan, specifically in Southern Punjab, is bringing disease to a large number of people. The number of patients in hospitals have increased so far. This was stated by Director Meteorological Office Akram Anjum.
The period between November to October is called post-monsoon season and usually within this period, rainfalls are not expected but despite all this the dry spell has extended as compared to last year. Different regional and global changes along with La-Nina phenomena have prolonged the dry spell. All over country rain is not expected, but within next couple of days light rain is expected in upper parts of upper NWFP, Punjab and Northern Areas, he further added.
