Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) has announced that it was preparing a detailed list of all the custodial disappearances for the last 18 years in occupied Kashmir, which would be published soon.
The Chairperson of APDP Perveena Ahangar, while addressing a silent protest demonstration at Pratap Park said, a detailed report of total disappearance cases was being prepared, which include the date of arrest and the concerned agency involved in the disappearance. "We have already received more than 150 forms from the parents of disappeared persons and the final list would be completed within a couple of month," she said.
The spokesman of APDP, on the occasion stated that APDP is preparing to file around 100 cases of disappearances in the United Nations (UN) working group on voluntary disappearance in March next year to find out the whereabouts of disappeared persons in the state.
He said, "We have also been invited for the 83 session of the UN working group starting from November 21, but we have not completed the necessary documents to participate," he said.
