Rehabilitation work on Phuleli Canal: committee to review route map for diversion of traffic

The DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri has constituted a committee headed by S P City Hyderabad Khawar Akbar Shaikh with one representative each from Traffic Police, H D P and T M A concerned to prepare route map for diversion of traffic during rehabilitation work of the bridge on Phuleli Canal on Hyderabad Bypass with a view to facilitate common commuters and transporters.
DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri while presiding over a meeting at his office on Sunday informed that the concerned authorities had decided to repair and re-strengthen the bridge on Phuleli canal and approached District Government Hyderabad for helping in diversion of traffic flow by providing alternative route.
The meeting discussed different proposals including using old National Highway route from Hala Naka, Pathan Colony and Rajputana Hospital to Bypass road, undertaking repair work of two-way bridge on Phuleli canal one by one in rotation or using Dadu-Moro bridge for diversion of heavy traffic.
He said that the encroachments along National Highway be removed to create more space for heavy vehicles and also submit another alternate workable proposal if needed. He said that all the stakeholders have been invited to attend the meeting with their proposals on November 13, at his office. The S P City Khawar Akbar Shaikh, EDO Works and Services Nusrat Pervaiz, T O HDP Fahim Junejo, DPD-HDP Kafeel Ahmed, officers from traffic police and local government attended the meeting.
