The Director of Manpower, Government of Sindh in its monthly progress report has informed that as many as 915 job seekers were placed on various occupations while 918 vacancies were available to his management by different organisations during the month of August, 2007 for the placement.
The Director Manpower and Training, Sindh, Karim Bux H Siddiqui has further said that the total 3,635 job seekers were registered during the month of August, 2007 out of which 915 have been placed on different jobs which included 84 for clerical, 26 for technical and 805 on unskilled jobs.
Giving the progress report about on-going development schemes, the Director Manpower informed that as many as 7 different development schemes were taken into hand with annual allocation of Rs 45.8 million while Rs 10.018 million were released up to the month of August, 2007. He said that however, 50 percent of released amount has been spent on these schemes.
