Oil prices kept unchanged

The oil prices will remain unchanged for next fortnight commencing from November 16. Since November 15 was the last day of the elected government in office it was very difficult for it to revise oil prices upward for next fortnight.
Ogra this time too had asked the government to review oil prices for next fortnight, passing on the actual price of petroleum products to the consumers. Keeping in mind the political change, the government did not take Ogra''s advice. However, sticking to the policy of keeping the petroleum prices unchanged for another 15 days will add roughly Rs five billion to unpaid difference on the rates.
