LDA directed to enhance manpower

City District Government Lahore Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has directed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to enhance its manpower in order to improve its efficiency and make service-oriented department. Mahmood chairing a meeting with LDA here on Friday said all promotions and recruitments should be made on merit and all posts should be advertised in newspapers.
He also ordered the authority to fix a 20 percent job quota for the children of both existing and retired employees in grade 1 to 5. The Nazim also directed that the LDA Computer Directorate be strengthened to check corruption and fraud. "Thus, the database administrator, computer assistant director, data control officers, computer and date entry operators should be recruited on merit and their ability.
In the same way, Assistant Directors in the departments of engineering, town planning, accounts, architecture and public relations should be employed on three-year contract," he added. LDA Director Administration Chaudhry Abdul Hamid was also present.
