Most of the Lahore High Court (LHC) bar members have refused to attend courts have announced to refrain from the job till their colleagues are released. The lawyer's bodies have allowed the lawyers to attend court despite some of their members are still behind the bars.
Through the two consecutive weeks of protest by the bar, the lawyers stayed away from the bar rooms and premises. However, some members continued to visit the bar rooms and premises. Most of them maintained that lawyers are not visiting the bar, as they were not attending the courts.
They further rejected the notion that absent lawyers were facing any arrest threat. The bar members reiterated there pledge to struggle against the regime and vowed to fight till democracy is restored in the country. Meanwhile, the LHC wore a calm look as the police and the barricade were absent from its gates after a prolonged protest.
