Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 108,726 tonnes cargo including 74,034 tonnes import, 34,692 tonnes export cargo and 2,963 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The cargo comprised of 75,470 tonnes dry cargo including 30,675 tonnes general cargo; 44,795 tonnes bulk cargo and 33,256 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Cap Colorado, Hyundai Highway, Emirates Jumeirah, Wehr Rissan, Fairchem Colt and Noor-e-Madina sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Iran Tabatabaei, YM Xiamen, Wadi Al-Rayan, Surmene-4 and Sea Tank are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Wadi Al-Rayan and Sea Tank expected to sail on Friday, while another three vessels viz Iran Tabatabaei, Pacific Carrier and Chi Feng Kou are expected to sail on Saturday.
Three vessels namely TS Nagoya, Hanjin Qingdao and Kapitan Byankin due to arrive on Friday, while another eight ships namely Gulf Tiger, OEL Trust, Bunga Kenari, Ninos, Gulf Bridge, Harmony, Ltc Calvin P. Titus and C Galaxy are due to arrive on Saturday.

Container vessel Al-Wajba sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two more ships namely CMA CGM Puget and MV Yick Zao are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total of five ships namely Al-Wajba, CMA CGM Puget, Al-Maqwa, Antonis and Astra carrying containers, diesel oil, coal and rape seeds are currently at the outer anchorage. Six vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Al-Wajba, MV Progress-II, MV Yick Zao, MT Al-Maqwa and MT Germany are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, coal, edible oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Sima Paya, MT Qem Star and MV Astra due to take berths at Container Terminal, EVTL and Marginal Wharf respectively on Friday. Two ships namely CV MSC Rosa-M and MV Leopard B due to arrive on Saturday, while another vessel viz CV MSC Finland is due to arrive on Sunday.
