Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that all opposition parties should take part in the PPPP All Parties Conference to be held on November 21. Talking to newsmen on Sunday, Amin Fahim suggested that the opposition parties to attend the APC for the agreement on one-point agenda.
He said the PPPP is ready to launch joint struggle with all opposition parties for the ending of emergency, restoration of democracy, adding that a decision about boycott the upcoming elections would be taken after consultation with opposition.
Amin Fahim made it clear that they did not hold talks with the government on foreign pressure rather they held dialogue for the restoration of democracy and security of the country and noted that it was not possible for the PPPP to go along with General Pervez Musharraf.
He clarified that they did not violate the Charter of Democracy and nor they made compromise with dictator on the democracy and constitution. He said the PPPP dialogue with the government ended after the imposition a state of emergency and suspension of the constitution.
Amin Fahim claimed that the holding of free and fair elections not possible in the supervision of the caretaker government as pro-Musharraf and PML (Q) people were nominated in it. He demanded of General Musharraf to immediate step down and lifts the emergency to restore peace and democracy in the country.
