Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Nisar A. Memon on Sunday termed the incidents of Parachinar as 'most unfortunate' saying the Muslims from different sects had been living peacefully in the area in a tolerant atmosphere for so many years.
In a press statement issued here, the caretaker minister said the situation looked to be provoked by the elements having vested interests to vitiate the environment and to disrupt peace, which is essential to provide a conducive and secure environment for conducting the general elections.
Nisar A. Memon said that the incidents of Parachinar are highly regrettable and condemnable and "we should wait for the outcome as the investigations are being carried out by the local administration to bring those responsible to the book."
He appealed to all the people of the area, especially the elders and scholars from different schools of thought to act in bringing all Muslims together and disengage them from further clash.
The minister said the caretaker government is committed to hold fair, free and transparent elections according to the timeframe to be announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
He expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed that Allah Almighty may keep the departed souls in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved families to bear the losses.
He also prayed for early recovery of those were injured. He said the injured are being taken care properly at the hospitals and their treatment is being carried out at the government expanse.
