Apropos a news item "PSO in dire straits as Rs 8bn stuck up with Wapda," carried by Business Recorder on Monday, the Pakistan State Oil Company Limited has clarified that the tone of the news item in which words like "threatening letter" and "Shah warned" have been used, gives the impression as if PSO is making an unjust demand on Wapda for the recovery of its exorbitant outstanding payments.
"Official correspondence for recovery of payments is a normal practice in corporate world and by no means should it be termed as threatening. Businesses run on the availability of finances and making such efforts is an essential part of it." The PSO has, however, not contested the facts the Business Recorder reporter presented in this story.-PR
